Supervision and Appraisal - Course Fee £20 per person

An excellent course for room supervisors and managers, teaching the principles of effective appraisal. This course is also suitable for those who are being appraised or receiving supervision, as it enables them to prepare for the process and guides them on what to expect of it.

 

 

Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering - Course Fee £45 per person

 

Thursday 18th and 25th November - Talkin Tarn Education Cabin

 

6.30pm-9.30pm

 

A 6 hour programme, which gives learners the knowledge necessary to follow effective food safety practices.

 

  • Introduction to food safety

  • Microbiological hazards

  • Food poisoning and it’s control

  • Contamination hazards and controls

  • HACCP from purchase to service

  • Food handlers and personal hygiene

  • Food premises and equipment

  • Food pests and control

  • Cleaning and disinfection

  • Food safety enforcement

 Learning is assessed by a short multiple choice test. Passing this test gives candidates an accredited certificate with the Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance.
